  Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the Campus Store located?

The Campus Store is located in the COCE building across from the Student Union.

What does the Campus Store have?

The Campus Store is much more than just a bookstore. We carry supplies, including specific items for nursing, art, and engineering students, apparel, so you can show your Jayhawk pride, technology items to help you with your papers and projects, and snacks and drinks for when you get hungry. Logoed gift items including magnets, keychains, decals and mugs are also available.

Where can I get my Meal Plan, Photo ID, and Parking Decal?

We make it easy, all of that can be gotten at the Campus Store! *NOTE: If you are a Residence Life student and are bringing a vehicle to campus, you must obtain a special permit from the Residence Life Director.

What do I need to purchase textbooks?

All you need is a copy of your schedule and your choice of payment. Having a schedule ensures you receive the correct book, sometimes professors teaching the same course may use a different book for their specific section. You can pay for textbooks with cash, check, credit card, or Financial Aid. *NOTE when using Financial Aid funds must appear in our system and we need either your Student Photo ID or a bill or schedule with your J# on it and a form of Photo ID.

What kind of textbook options are available?

The Campus Store tries to ease the financial burden from textbooks by offering used textbooks as often as possible. Sometimes due to changes in edition or book format where new textbooks are all that are available. Renting textbooks are also an option based on availability. Select textbooks are available in a loose-leaf format. Check out our Textbook Buying Guide for more information.

Can I purchase my textbooks online from the Campus Store?

Of course! Visit and click the Textbooks tab and select your Campus. You can have the textbooks delivered to your residence or pick up in the store at your convenience. Click here to see step by step instructions for ordering textbooks online.

What else can I purchase online?

School supplies, gift items, gift cards, apparel, technology products, backpacks, art supplies, engineering supplies, and much more! Check back often as more items are being added.

Why should I buy textbooks from the Campus Store instead of an online book supplier?

By purchasing your textbooks from the Campus Store you are ensuring that you are receiving exactly what the professor requires. Any additional components or add on items will also be available that are not available from other sites. Also, you are helping fund events at SUNY JCC by shopping at the Campus Store.

What if I have to return a textbook?

The return process is hassle free. Simply bring the textbook back within one (1) week of purchase with the original receipt, this will guarantee your refund. The textbook must be in its original condition (shrink-wrapped if applicable) with all components unopened. If you used Financial Aid make sure you have your Student ID or if you paid with a debit/credit card bring that card with you.

What can I use my Financial Aid for?

Financial Aid, in most cases, can be used to purchase textbooks, school supplies, backpacks, and Meal Plans.
